Brief HistoryThis facility was funded by the Commonwealth/State Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP) [For notes on this program see the section on NAHA/SAAP at the beginning of Signposts].
In 2003 Great Mates were awarded the contract for the Armadale Youth Crisis Accommodation service after the former Armadale Youth Accommodation service closed (see previous entry).
The service agreement with the Department describes the service as providing crisis and transitional accommodation for young people between the ages of 15 and 20 years.
The service is located in the Armadale area and focuses primarily on young people from the local area.
The Department of Health, Drug and Alcohol Office provides additional funding for a drug and alcohol worker. (Service Agreement with the Department for Child Protection).
From August 2007, Anglicare became the new provider for this service (see entry for Armadale Youth Accommodation Service).
RecordsDepartmental case records for young people placed by the Department may reside with the Department for Child Protection.
Great Mates may hold records.
