Brief History | The “long awaited” metropolitan cottage opened in June 1990. It was “designed to accommodate a mixed population of children returning from country cottages and also teenagers in the metropolitan area.” (Report on the Activities of the Consultative Committee on Residential Child Care in 1989/90, February 1991).
